The Packaging PD team is a diverse group of people responsible for the design and execution of structural packaging for all Apple products — from shippers to finished goods boxes. We collaborate with a wide range of teams including Industrial Design, Marketing, Environmental, Operations, and many others during the design process. **Description** We are seeking someone who approaches problem-solving with passion, creativity, and curiosity. We welcome fresh influences from outside the standard packaging industry to promote innovation in creative ways. **Minimum Qualifications** + 3 years of relevant industry experience + BS in Materials Science & Engineering, Polymer Science, Fiber Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering + Strong knowledge of material science fundamentals + Strong analytical/creative problem-solving skills; ability to use statistical tools and techniques + Effective verbal and written presentation skills, able to present technical details succinctly + Ability to travel internationally, up to 20% **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working with contract manufacturers and vendors from concept to manufacturing in mass-production + Experience developing materials with a wide range of performance requirements + Working knowledge of analytical techniques to characterize materials + Experience with paper, fiber, inks, coatings, or bio-based materials + Data-driven approach to solving complex problems Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
