Beloit Health System is looking to add Nuclear Med Techs to our Team!Sign-On Bonus: YesShift: 1stSchedule: Will work 8-hour shifts between 6:30 am – 6:30 pmHours per week: 20 - 40Benefits Status: EligibleDepartment: Nuclear MedicinePerforms diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Applies principles of radiation protection. Exercises professional judgement in performance of service. Produces quality images for interpretation by a physician. Provides patient care and education essential to radiographic procedures.Performs in vivo and therapeutic nuclear medicine proceduresPrepares radiopharmaceuticals for administration by injection, ingestion, and inhalation methods under approved protocols by board-certified radiologistOperates radiation protection equipment, calibration, and imaging equipment. Operates other equipment/devices as appropriateApplies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and othersEvaluates recorded images for technical qualityAssumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during examination and treatmentEnsures proper documentation of examPerforms quality control checks as requiredMaintains accurate patient records and files with confidentialityEnsures radiopharmaceuticals are ordered for the next days' workDetects, reports to supervision, and contacts repair person for equipment malfunctionsJOB REQUIREMENTSGraduate of an AMA-accredited school of Nuclear MedicineARRT registration in Nuclear Medicine within one year of graduation or CNMT RegistrationCPR Certification within 90 days of hireSelf-motived and able to be flexibleAbility to function independently and to problem solveGood written and oral communication and excellent patient interaction skillsMaintains ethical conduct and keeps confidential personal and medical information about patientsReporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging.
