Nuclear Medical Technologist

Our client located near Saratoga Springs, NY is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech to join their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a day shift with competitive wages and a signing bonus! The ideal candidate has two years of experience and is certified through the ARRT. This client will move fast for the right applicant. New graduates will be considered!!

Responsibilities of the Nuclear Med Tech:

• Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation.
• Explaining the imaging procedure to patients, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort while placing them in the appropriate position for scanning.
• Operating imaging equipment, such as PET and SPECT scans.
• Processing images on the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver on the computer.
• Monitoring patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs.
• Keeping detailed records of the amount and type of radiopharmaceutical used and of the procedure.

Minimum Requirements for the Nuclear Medicine Tech position:

• New graduates OK with graduation from AMA approved program
• ARRT(N)/NMTCB
• CPR Certified
