Shop Laborer/Parts Runner

Team Elmer's seeks to fill an opening for a Shop Laborer/Parts Runner for the Mechanic Shop in Hillman, MI. This position will pick up/drop off parts, clean the shop, organize parts, stock oils/consumables, and help mechanics when needed.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive parts to and from the store or needed locationsStock oils and other consumablesClean the shop area and organize the yardAssist mechanics if needed and organize the parts roomOther duties as assigned"The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position."Qualifications:Valid Driver's license with a chauffer's license or the ability to obtain a Chauffer's license within the first 30 days of hireHigh School Diploma or GED preferredClean driving record for the past 3 yearsAbility to pass pre-employment physical and drug screenExperience in a mechanic shop, welding or paint shop environment a plusMust be at least 18 years of ageWillingness to work overtime if asked or neededAbility to work long hours and perform repetitive movementsGood work ethic, punctuality, and alertnessAbility to repetitively lift 50 or more pounds at a timeMechanical -- Knowledge of equipment, machines, and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceEEO/AA
