Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Vent Experience Required)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a hybrid PCU unit managing common diagnoses including DKA, COPD, sepsis, overdose/suicide, chronic respiratory failure, and renal failure
• Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency response including Rapid Response and Code team activation
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and cardiac drips (non-titrating); perform phlebotomy and maintain central and peripheral line care
• Provide ventilator care and respiratory support for chronic trach and vent-dependent patients
• Maintain isolation precautions and operate within telemetry settings across PCU, DOU, IMC, and stepdown environments
• Float within skillset as required; adhere to weekend, holiday, and scheduling requirements including one holiday per 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia State RN license or active Compact RN license (pending license considered only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator care and chronic trach patients
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Experience in a PCU, IMC, DOU, or stepdown clinical setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with non-invasive airway management and respiratory support modalities including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring systems and tele-sitting workflows
• Prior travel nursing experience accepted; first-time travelers welcome
