Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Location

Merced, CA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 8-hour shifts, typically starting at 7:00 AM with flexibility required for earlier or later scheduled cases

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in the Cardiac Cath Lab for a range of procedures including PCIs, peripheral interventions, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tubes, and IVC filters
• Support a caseload that varies from 0 to 5–6 cases per day in a single-lab environment
• Assist in the training and onboarding of new nursing staff, leveraging existing Cath Lab experience
• Collaborate with Cath Lab Techs who perform scrub duties; RNs are not required to scrub
• Operate and document using Cerner, Sensis, and Merge platforms
• Complete assigned orientation modules as required at the start of the engagement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of California
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Knowledge of and experience with balloon pumps
• Ability to circulate independently in a Cath Lab setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• STEMI experience is a plus
• Familiarity with GE imaging equipment
• Experience mentoring or training new nursing staff in a Cath Lab environment
