Job Title

Operating Room Registered Nurse – Surgery Center

Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the full perioperative nursing role including preoperative patient assessment, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation of patient response and outcomes
• Assemble equipment and supplies and open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies according to sterile technique in preparation for surgical cases
• Prepare each patient for surgery by positioning the patient appropriately, preparing the operative site, and confirming the procedure and site with the surgical team
• Assist with moving patients to and from the operating table safely
• Perform and document surgical counts including sponges, sharps, and instruments, and maintain accurate legal nursing records
• Assist with post-case operating room cleanup including proper disposal of used supplies and sharps

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one (1) year of surgical or operating room experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
