Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (7:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Document hours worked through the designated time-tracking platform
• Complete pre-start and annual facility modules as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications in hand at time of submission (no pending certifications accepted)
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Must achieve an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (maximum of two attempts)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience within a single location
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with Silkroad module tracking systems
