Fuel America Travel Center in Encinal, Texas is searching for a guest-oriented HR professional.

A surprising 25,000 square foot facility with state-of-the-art amenities to serve travelers from near and far at the largest South Texas Travel Center. Huge, well-lit parking lots, wide, spacious aisles, large clean bathroom facilities, and fully equipped kitchens are a true pleaser for our patrons. A driver’s lounge, cat scale, truck wash, public laundry facilities, showers, a money exchange and check cashing capabilities are just a few of the available features at Fuel America Travel Center.

Fuel America also offers fast food and grab and go choices for those on the run. Our food court offers Sonic favorites and delicious Philly Cheese Steak varieties at Charley’s as well as your Tex-Mex favorites at Toritos.

Title: Human Resources Manager

Salary: $55,000 annual salary paid weekly

$300 monthly phone/travel stipend

2 weeks paid vacation

Location: Encinal, Texas

Scope of Duties: Working with the GM, Store Managers and Staff

Employee Recruitment, Screening and Hiring (proper recruiting and training the correct individuals will lead to better retention)

New Hire Paperwork, Government required documents

Employee Training

Staff Development

Monitoring Labor Hours and Wages - store schedules

Implementation of employee handbook, policies and procedures

Employee Counseling and Write-Ups

Staff Meetings

TABC and Food Handler Certification Tracking

Incident Investigations – Proper documentation and statements

Employee Terminations

Vacation and Time Off accruals and tracking

Time Clock Adjustments

Requirements: This position requires on the clock work with hands on duties five to six days a week. Previous HR experience and knowledge is preferred. This position is not remote.
