Workers Compensation Paralegal

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BILINGUAL SPANISH Workers’ Compensation Paralegal with 1–3 years of experience to join its growing legal team. Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution.
• Open and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Request, review, and organize medical records, employment records, and wage information.
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, opposing counsel, and the Workers’ Compensation Board.
• Schedule hearings, depositions, IMEs, and client appointments.
• Maintain attorney calendars and monitor case deadlines.
• Prepare hearing and trial exhibits, witness files, and case summaries.
• Update case management software and maintain detailed case notes.
• Provide exceptional client service while managing a high-volume caseload.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of workers’ compensation paralegal experience required.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures and terminology.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with New York workers’ compensation matters is a plus.
• Notary Public certification is a plus.
