Job description

DuraFleet is hiring an experienced Diesel Technician to perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for commercial fleet customers across the Denton / Alliance / Fort Worth area.

This is a field-based role for a skilled technician who can work independently, diagnose problems accurately, communicate professionally with customers, and complete repairs with a safe, efficient, and high-quality approach.

The right candidate will operate from a company-provided mobile service vehicle and support customers at their location, helping keep their fleets safe, compliant, reliable, and on the road.

If you are tired of flat-rate pay, shop politics, being stuck in the same bay every day, or not being rewarded for your skill level, this is an opportunity to join a growing mobile fleet service business where your work directly matters.

About the Role

You will travel to customer locations to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial fleet vehicles. The work will include a mix of scheduled maintenance, customer-requested repairs, and occasional roadside service.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, takes pride in doing the job right, and wants to be part of a company that is growing quickly in the North Texas fleet maintenance market.

Typical Work Includes

  • Diesel and gas vehicle diagnostics
  • Preventative maintenance services
  • DOT inspections
  • Brakes, batteries, belts, hoses, and lighting
  • No-start diagnostics
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Roadside repairs
  • Fleet maintenance and general repairs
  • Light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Accurate job notes, photos, and customer communication

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong diesel mechanical experience required
  • Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles without constant supervision
  • Experience with scan tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Professional communication with customers
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and organized
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Must provide your own hand tools
  • Ability to pass background and/or drug screening, if required

Bonus Experience

  • Mobile repair or roadside service experience
  • Commercial fleet maintenance
  • ASE certifications
  • Trailer repair experience
  • Experience working on box trucks, delivery fleets, utility trucks, buses, or vocational trucks

Schedule

  • Full-time position
