Senior Accountant
Location: Houston, TX
Position: Permanent
Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday & Wednesday in office; additional days as needed)
Compensation: up to $120,000
Overview
A leading financial services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Finance team in Houston. This role supports full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, treasury, forecasting, and audit activities across U.S. and international entities. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Support expense allocations, variance analysis, and intercompany reconciliations across multiple legal entities.
- Prepare financial statement support, tax schedules, and technical accounting memoranda.
- Assist with international accounting activities and treasury operations, including cash forecasting and investments.
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and internal control compliance.
- Participate in system implementations and process improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA required.
- 3–5 years of public accounting (Audit/Assurance) or corporate accounting experience within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- Workday experience is a plus.
- Experience with multiple legal entities or international operations preferred.

Work Environment
Reports to the Assistant Controller. Hybrid schedule with a collaborative Houston office of approximately 70 employees, partnering closely with Finance, IT, and other corporate teams.
