DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS - DAY HABILITATION PROGRAM (p/t)

The Day Habilitation Program Direct Support Professionals provide habilitative and/or vocational activities and options to individuals with intellectual, physical, and/or developmental disabilities. We're seeking 2 DSPs to work Tues, Wed and Fri with availability between 6:30am-3:30pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide a variety of independent living skills services and support as identified in each assigned person’s Individual Service Plan.

· Provide formal and informal training on all habilitation and vocational activities, helping individuals acquire new skills and increase independence.

· Assist with personal hygiene as needed.

· Provide supervision and support in community settings

· Complete all skill development, support and progress notes.

· Ensure a healthy and clean work environment

· Provide behavior support and crisis intervention as needed

· Responsible for either the early morning picks up or dropping off our individuals at the end of the program

· Responsible for making sure that all individuals are picked up or dropped off in a timely manner.

· Escort the individuals to either their daily activities in the community or to their homes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must have available to work between 6:00am-3:30pm

· High School Diploma or GED

· A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

· Must be able to assist with lifting disabled individuals

· Excellent organizational, verbal, & written communication skills

· Provide supervision and support in community settings

· Complete all skill development, support and progress notes.

· Ensure a healthy and clean work environment

· Provide behavior support and crisis intervention as needed

· Responsible for either the early morning picks up or dropping off our individuals at the end of the program

· Responsible for making sure that all individuals are picked up or dropped off in a timely manner.

Pay Rate: $15.00 -$17p/h
