Manager of Compliance with Department of Buildings

This role is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with regulations enforced by the Department of Buildings (DOB) and other relevant city agencies. The position involves overseeing safety inspections, energy efficiency standards, and timely filings while coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain building compliance and resolve violations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance with Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations
• Oversee Local Law 11 façade safety inspections
• Ensure adherence to Local Law 97 energy efficiency and emissions standards
• Coordinate boiler and elevator inspections, filings, and corrections
• Track and resolve violations with DOB, DOHMH, DSNY, HPD, and DEP
• Collaborate with expeditors and architects to correct violations
• Maintain compliance calendars to ensure timely inspections, filings, and reporting
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to address and correct violations
• Provide compliance updates and reports to ownership and management
• Train property staff on compliance policies and best practices
