Job Title: Receiving Associate / Warehouse Associate (Pharmaceutical Distribution)

Department: Warehouse Operations

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Position Summary

The Warehouse Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and processing incoming pharmaceutical products and supplies in accordance with company policies. This role ensures inventory accuracy, product integrity, and timely movement of goods throughout the distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments from manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Inspect products for damage, expiration dates, lot numbers, packaging integrity, etc.
  • Accurately record receiving information in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged products.
  • Stage inventory into designated storage locations.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as manual pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners.
  • Follow FDA, DEA, OSHA, GDP, GMP, and company quality standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Support cross-functional warehouse activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, receiving, distribution, or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents and inventory records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various warehouse environments, including temperature-controlled areas.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
