Maintenance Mechanic

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic A for our client, a manufacturing facility, in Portland, OR. This role supports maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Pay & Schedule
Pay: $37.87/hour
Shift: Overnight, 3-4-4-3 schedule
Position Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Maintain and repair equipment such as conveyors, bucket elevators, gears, chains, belts, and pumps
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Support equipment uptime through timely repairs and maintenance planning
• Operate equipment such as boom lifts and scissor lifts as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Experience working in indoor and outdoor environments, including non-climate-controlled conditions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to distinguish colors and depth for safe equipment operation

Preferred Qualifications
• Welding and fabrication experience for equipment repair
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting
• Experience operating boom lifts and scissor lifts

Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing environment with both indoor and outdoor work areas. Conditions may include exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and industrial noise. PPE and safety compliance are required at all times.
