Vehicle Rental Operations Associate

Job Summary

This is a part time position that maximum expected hours per week would be ten.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Vehicle Rental Operations Associate to support the daily operations of our rental fleet. Currently four vehicles, but growing.

This role is responsible for customer vehicle check-ins and check-outs, vehicle inspections, fleet readiness, and ensuring every vehicle is clean, fueled or charged, and rental-ready.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer physical vehicle check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-rental and post-rental vehicle inspections.
• Take detailed exterior, interior, and odometer photos before and after each rental.
• Identify, document, and report any vehicle damage, excessive wear, or maintenance concerns.
• Help cordinate vehicle pickups and deliveries to designated locations.
• Ensure Tesla vehicle is fully charged and gasoline vehicles are refueled when returned below the required fuel level.
• Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles as needed to maintain company presentation standards.
• Verify vehicle cleanliness, safety, and readiness before each rental.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, mileage, fuel levels, and damage reports.
• Assist with fleet organization and vehicle movement between locations.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during vehicle handoff and return.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including electric vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify vehicle damage or cleanliness issues.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet to document inspections and photos.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks such as vacuuming and vehicle cleaning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in car rental, automotive, valet, fleet management, or customer service.
• Familiarity with Tesla charging and electric vehicle operations.

Compensation

$125 / week
