Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join an established private care team providing advanced, one-on-one nursing care for an individual with complex medical and rehabilitation needs in a private home setting in Houston, TX.
This is an opportunity for an RN who values the ability to focus closely on one patient rather than managing a large hospital assignment. The position allows the nurse to become highly familiar with the patient’s medical needs, routines, rehabilitation goals and overall care while working alongside an experienced and collaborative care team.
We are looking for a nurse who combines strong clinical judgment with a calm, attentive and caring approach. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable and comfortable working in a structured private-care environment.
Experience in neurological or brain injury rehabilitation, ICU/critical care, stroke recovery, respiratory care or other high-acuity settings is especially valuable.
Schedule (Shifts available)
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Full-Time & Part-Time positions available

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive one-on-one nursing care in a residential setting
- Perform transfers, repositioning and mobility support to ensure that the patient is in proper alignment
- Closely monitor and assess patient condition throughout the shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform airway management and respiratory support interventions
- Provide tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed
- Feeding tube management and nutritional support
- Support bladder and bowel care programs
- Utilize Hoyer lift equipment and safe transfer techniques
- Maintain skin integrity through scheduled repositioning and pressure relief
- Collaborate with rehabilitation providers during therapy sessions
- Communicate effectively with the care team and family
- Maintain organized documentation and supply inventory
- Promote a clean, structured, and supportive care environment
- Be proactive, extremely attentive and have a high attention to detail
Preferred Experience-
Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Acute Brain Injury Rehabilitation
- Nursing for Stroke Recovery
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Acute or critical care nursing Clinical Skills
Applicants should be experienced with:
- Tracheostomy management
- Oral and airway suctioning
- Feeding tube care
- Catheter care and bladder scanning
- Respiratory therapy equipment
- Wound prevention and management
- Patient positioning and mobility assistance
- High-acuity nursing care
Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Vaccination Compliance
- Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX
