Residential Advisor

We currently have four Residential Advisor openings at two Bronx locations. We are seeking candidates with experience working in homeless shelters and proficiency with the CARES application. Strong computer skills are required, specifically Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word. One of the available positions is an overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive, professional relationships with clients.
• Implement and enforce operational procedures to ensure facility safety, security, and compliance with government and agency regulations.
• Perform reception duties, monitor facility access, conduct fire patrols, and oversee surveillance and security protocols.
• Track client movement by verifying arrivals and departures, maintaining accurate client census and bed counts, and preparing curfew, violation, and incident reports.
• Coordinate the timely distribution of meals across all shifts to ensure clients receive consistent and reliable services.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for effective job performance.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary staff to support client needs and achieve program goals and objectives.
• Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and the CARES application (preferred) to maintain records, communicate with staff, and complete required reports.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
