Company Description

The Schwab Companies in Delevan, NY operates a multi generation dairy farm where we milk over 1000 dairy cows & farm over 2000 acres.  In addition, we operate a full-service gravel quarry & trucking company that services the Western NY market.

Position Description

The Shop & Equipment manager would be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of all the equipment that is used to operate our businesses.  Responsibilities would include completing emergency repairs, planning preventative maintenance on equipment, managing parts & equipment inventory & special projects. Duties would include:

-          Creating and planning a preventative maintenance schedule

-          Executing service scheduling – fluid checks, grease levels, tire change, brake repair, wear & tear repair, air hose line replacements, etc.

-          Managing and maintaining an equipment inventory list

-          Managing, ordering, & inventorying parts

-          Setup, management, and organization of the shop

-          Assisting and completing emergency repairs

-          Special projects

Minimum Requirements

-          Be open to a full-time work schedule with flexible seasonal demands & emergency calls

-          Have an ability to coordinate, collaborate, schedule & work with others

-          Possess an ability to manage a systems process & design an operational structure

-          Good attitude & have the ability to change

-          Have 1-3 years of heavy-duty equipment use, repair & maintenance experience

-          In addition to equipment repair experience, have 1-3 years of welding and electrical work experience

-          Be able to operate & move large equipment

Preferred Requirements

-          Have 3-4 years of heavy-duty equipment, truck or dairy equipment use, repair & maintenance experience
