Job Description
Genesis Technical is seeking Marine Designers level 1-4 for an onsite long-term contract position in Newport, News, VA
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert existing 3D models into Siemens NX, including setup of construction views
- Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs to improve products and manufacturing processes
- Work across multiple disciplines including Structure, Electrical, Piping, Mechanical, Ventilation, and Sheetmetal
- Utilize tools such as CAD, CAM, NX, and CATIA
- Gather information, perform studies, and develop layouts, sketches, and design proposals
- Create and support manufacturing and installation drawings
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, materials, and planning teams
- Ensure designs align with manufacturability, material availability, and contractual specifications
