Full ledger accountant

The Full Ledger Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Working within a small team of 1-3 members and reporting to the Finance Director, this role involves handling the general ledger, account reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and preparing financial statements. The position also supports audit activities and ensures compliance with relevant financial policies using standard accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
• Perform account reconciliations to verify data integrity
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and journal entries
• Coordinate month-end closing processes
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and relevant regulations
• Conduct data analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for process improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience with financial reporting and general ledger management
• Strong skills in account reconciliation
• Proficiency in Excel and standard accounting software
• High attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Effective time management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting roles
