Job Title

RN – Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) / Level 1 Nursery – Nights

Key Responsibilities

• Independently assess and monitor patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases, identifying and addressing health care needs throughout the episode of care
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the broader healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans with measurable short- and long-term goals
• Provide education to mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum wellness; document all care and education in the electronic medical record
• Communicate patient status verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing supervisors; assist with physician procedures as needed
• Collaborate with nursery nursing staff in the care of the mother/baby couplet and support staff in skill development and new procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment within the Family Birthing Center unit and assist with emergencies in other nursing units when able

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
• Prior experience in an LDRP or Family Birthing Center setting
