Job Title

Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Level 3

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 nights per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and efficient care to patients experiencing life-threatening injuries or illnesses in the emergency department
• Rapidly assess and stabilize patients upon arrival, determining and initiating the appropriate course of treatment
• Deliver medical-surgical nursing care as assigned, with a schedule of 2 nights in the Emergency Department and 1 night in Medical-Surgical (this split is non-negotiable)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clinical updates and emotional support during stressful situations
• Maintain composure and make accurate, timely clinical decisions in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNNC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Demonstrated clinical experience in both Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level 3 Emergency Department setting
• Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient and family-centered care while maintaining professional boundaries
