Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36-Hour Weekly Guarantee

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds, with a heavy telemetry focus
• Care for adult patients; pediatric assignments are reserved for permanent staff
• Demonstrate strong Neuro and Cardiac assessment and intervention skills
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, adjusted based on acuity level
• Float to other Medical Surgical units and ICU to manage Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
• Document and manage patient care using Sunrise Allscripts EMR; perform IV access independently as no IV team is on site

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Strong proficiency in Neuro and Cardiac nursing skills
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current PALS certification
• Prior experience with Sunrise Allscripts EMR
