Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant supports physical therapists in delivering effective rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. They assist in implementing treatment plans and help patients improve mobility and manage pain through therapeutic exercises and modalities.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in providing therapeutic exercises and treatments to patients.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment before therapy sessions.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercises.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
