Electrician Instrument Technician Job Summary:
The Electrician Instrument Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, install, calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic systems and equipment. The ideal Electrician Instrument Technician has previous experience working on the electrical aspects of pumps, temperature gauges, and pressure levers, and delivers excellent analytical and technical skills as well as superb communication. The Electrician Instrument Technician is a full-time, direct hire position in Kansas City, KS.
Electrician Instrument Technician Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist With Installation of Electronic Equipment Including Assembly Utilizing Hand & Power Tools
- Perform Scheduled & Urgent Repairs on Electronic Systems & Equipment Including Replacing Defective, Worn, or Broken Parts
- Analyze & Troubleshoot Complex Electronic & Mechanical Problems
- Calibrate Sensors as Needed & Verify Equipment Functions as Required
- Read & Interpret Technical Drawings, Manuals, Blueprints & Schematics
- Ensure Logs Are Kept Up-to-Date For All Equipment Maintenance & Servicing & Generate Reports on Work Performed
- Work With Engineers & Technicians & Provide Technical Assistance to Departments & Customers
- Assist With Additional Duties as Needed
Electrician Instrument Technician Job Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent Required
- 2+ Years of Electronic Maintenance Experience Preferred
- Demonstrates an Excellent Understanding of Electronic Theory, Components, & Systems
- Must be Proficient With Hand Tools, Soldering Irons & be Able to Work on Small Circuits
- Must be Able to Use a Variety of Test Equipment Including Multimeters & Amp Meters
- Must Have Excellent Analytical, Technical & Troubleshooting Skills
- Demonstrates Excellent Communication With Supervisors & Colleagues
- Must be Able to Lift up to 50lbs
- Must be Able to Read Blueprints, Documents & Schematics
- Must be Able to Bend, Climb, Balance, Stoop, Kneel, Crawl, Talk & Hear
- Must be ok Working in Wet, Humid, Cold & Hot Conditions With Exposure to Machinery & Chemicals
