Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of welding operations within the organization. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position involves thorough inspection, defect identification, and collaboration with teams to maintain high standards of safety and workmanship. The CWI also provides technical training to staff, contributing to continuous improvement and adherence to industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct welding inspections to verify compliance with standards and specifications
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure workmanship meets required criteria
• Identify and document welding defects and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with teams to resolve quality issues and maintain project timelines
• Provide technical training and guidance on welding standards and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in welding inspection
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of welding inspection techniques and blueprint reading
• Experience with quality assurance and safety compliance
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
