Medical Social Worker

Essential Duties

• Provide clinical psychoeducation aligned with organizational vision, approach, and licensing standards.
• Make clinical recommendations and diagnoses to guide treatment, interventions, and medication management.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic interventions and group processes.
• Train staff on clinical issues affecting youth in residential care.
• Collaborate with staff to assess and refer residents for external services, medication reviews, and treatment planning.
• Participate in team meetings to share clinically relevant information and recommendations.
• Provide crisis intervention using approved techniques and assessments.
• Support youth activity programs and experiential therapies, including equine programs when appropriate.
• Facilitate transfer of learning related to significant clinical issues impacting residents.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
• Eligible for licensure in Texas (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) within 6 months of employment.
• Experience in equine or experiential therapies preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
• Strong time management and detail orientation.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Ability to travel as needed and meet physical demands (bending, lifting, prolonged standing/sitting).
