Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | 6 Weekend Shifts per 6-Week Schedule | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care within a high-volume, 92-bed Level I Trauma emergency department
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with acute stroke, seizures, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute MI, trauma, and diabetes-related conditions
• Administer and titrate continuous IV drip medications in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms to guide patient care decisions
• Conduct ESI-based triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Collaborate with neuro-medicine and neurosurgical subspecialty teams to deliver comprehensive patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma emergency department setting
• Demonstrated telemetry and continuous IV drip management experience
• Ability to maintain a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ESI Triage training or certification
• Experience caring for neuro-medicine and neurosurgical patient populations, including ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and subarachnoid hemorrhage
• Familiarity with trauma management involving MVC, falls, and penetrating injuries
