Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with 14 L&D beds, 6 triage beds, 2 OR suites, and 28 postpartum beds serving approximately 250 births per month
• Circulate for C-sections as required; scrubbing experience is preferred
• Manage laboring patients at a 2:1 ratio following AWHONN guidelines and provide couplet care at a 1:4 ratio when floating to postpartum
• Care for a diverse patient population including antepartum, high-risk deliveries, pre-eclampsia, substance abuse, insulin-dependent diabetics, and patients of any gestational age
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Fetal Link fetal monitoring system; telemetry via Philips
• Collaborate with OB technicians (available on both day and night shifts), Respiratory Therapy (24/7), and Pharmacy (24/7) to deliver comprehensive patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in California (or compact license eligibility)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required for postpartum assignments
• C-section circulating experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• C-section scrubbing experience preferred
• Prior experience with high-risk obstetric populations including pre-eclampsia, antepartum, and substance abuse patients
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Link fetal monitoring systems
