Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | 36 Hours Per Week | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Every Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting that operates similarly to a step-down unit, with occasional ventilator patients
• Maintain a 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio across a unit with 2 ICU beds and up to 2 flex beds
• Float to alike internal units as needed, including occasional coverage of med/surg patients during high census periods
• Float to other regional facilities as operationally required
• Participate in on-call rotation during low census periods, with call-back availability and a minimum 2-hour call-back guarantee
• Adhere to facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a combined ICU/step-down environment
• Comfort with ventilator management and higher-acuity patient populations
