Job Description

 Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in a busy acute care hospital. The RN will provide specialized care for step-down patients transitioning from the ICU, monitor patients requiring close observation, administer high-risk medications, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

• Active California RN License (required at submission)
• Minimum 2–3 years of recent PCU or ICU Stepdown experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• COVID-19 vaccination (required)
• Experience caring for ICU step-down, trauma, TBI, sepsis, vascular surgery, and post-operative patients
• Experience with arterial lines and central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring
• Experience titrating vasoactive medications, including Precedex, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Levophed
• Experience caring for tracheostomy and stable ventilated patients
• Strong telemetry interpretation and high-risk medication management skills
• Open to first-time travelers with strong specialty experience
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment while maintaining excellent patient care and teamwork
