Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Lancaster, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available | Every other weekend required | On-call not required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Monitor and manage patients at nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6–1:7
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias as part of telemetry monitoring responsibilities
• Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Complete all required facility onboarding modules prior to start date
• Attend required staff meetings throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license — must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• All required compliance modules must be completed prior to the Thursday before the start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience in a short-term acute care hospital environment
