Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions, plans of care, and patient goals; reassess as needed throughout the care continuum.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely in accordance with physician orders, protocols, and established policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education based on identified learning needs and collaboratively prepare patients and families for discharge, incorporating appropriate support systems and resources.
• Interpret and document cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration and initiate appropriate treatment plans based on provider orders.
• Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others while appropriately prioritizing patient care and recognizing the need for emergency intervention.
• Provide thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of all pertinent data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses according to established standards.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• ACLS upon hire, or active BLS with the ability to obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire.
• Demonstrates mature professional behaviors including tact, empathy, and diplomacy.
• Promotes a positive working environment and effective teamwork.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
• 1 year of Telemetry experience.
• 1 year of Pediatrics experience and/or active PALS certification.
