Job Description

Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in a fast-paced Trauma Intensive Care Unit. The RN will provide high-quality critical care to patients with complex medical, trauma, and neurological conditions, including post-operative and ventilated patients. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment.

Requirements

• Active California RN License (required at submission)
• Minimum 2–3 years of recent ICU experience in a high-acuity acute care setting
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• PALS preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Required experience with ICP (Intracranial Pressure) monitoring and ventriculostomy (ventrics)
• Candidates without ICP/ventric experience must have experience caring for post-tPA stroke patients
• Experience with trauma, neuro, stroke, and head injury patients
• Experience managing ventilated patients and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Ability to independently titrate vasoactive and sedation drips
• Must pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Exam on the first day of orientation
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume critical care environment
