Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Neuro ICU setting, managing a population that includes stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and monitor patients with EVDs and ICP monitoring devices
• Assist with and manage basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Support bolt and drain bedside placements in collaboration with neurosurgery
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and Med/Surg ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with a Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background
• Strong neurological assessment skills required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment preferred
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring devices
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change
