Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed intermediate/observation unit with a 1:4 patient ratio, managing conditions such as anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre/post-operative urology and GI cases
• Administer and monitor drip medications including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin, and Heparin
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and perform EKG assessment as required during compliance evaluation
• Manage a high volume of admissions and discharges, with average patient stays up to 48 hours
• Float to other inpatient units, including IMC and CTU units, as needed
• Collaborate with team members and ancillary staff to ensure a positive patient experience while managing tasks independently and efficiently

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification highly preferred
• Background in observation, medical-surgical, or telemetry units strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to frequent change, work independently, and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude throughout the shift
