The Office of Academic Assistance seeks to hire an Academic Advisor II to join our dynamic advising team.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive academic advising to prospective and current undergraduate and graduate students; evaluate transfer credit; monitor registration activities; review academic records and degree requirements; develop academic plans; assist with petitions, course substitutions, graduation clearance, academic standing concerns, and student success interventions.
Manage admissions and enrollment-related processes for assigned programs; review applications; communicate admissions requirements; assist prospective students throughout the admissions cycle; support recruitment and yield initiatives.
Serve as liaison to faculty, department leadership, and academic units regarding curriculum updates, catalog changes, academic policies, and program requirements; facilitates in information sessions, orientation programs, recruitment events, and student success initiatives.
Serve as Navigate Captain for the Office of Academic Assistance; develops, maintains, and optimizes Navigate campaigns, appointment scheduling, success markers, and communication strategies. Creates, run, analyze, and distribute Navigate reports and data queries for the OAA Director, Assistant Director, Department Chairs, faculty and other stakeholders to support enrollment management, student success, retention and strategic decision-making.
Collect and report student, advising, enrollment, retention, and graduation data; develop dashboards and reports; assist in identifying trends and opportunities for intervention; assist in recommendations for process improvements.
- Participate in special projects, committee work, training initiatives, policy implementation, and other duties as assigned in support of departmental and college goals

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's degree in higher education, counseling or administration.
- Strong knowledge of university academic policies, degree requirements, and advising practices.
- Ability to interpret and manage academic records and student data systems.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and student support skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administrative offices.
- Radiates a positive attitude and is willing to be a team player.
