Role Type: 100% Onsite
To ensure the optimal performance and longevity of injection molds through precise maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role supports manufacturing efficiency by applying strong mechanical aptitude, mold knowledge, and machining skills, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, documentation, and collaboration across teams.
- Disassemble, clean, troubleshoot, and reassemble 50-75% of active molds safely and efficiently
- Operate conventional and CNC tool room machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to verify part dimensions and tooling stack-ups
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on hot-runner systems, including probes, heaters, thermocouples, and manifolds
- Demonstrate strong mechanical reasoning and understanding of mold function and injection molding concepts
- Work independently and methodically under pressure while maintaining high accuracy and meeting tight deadlines
- Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records and mold documentation
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve mold performance and reliability
- Follow prescribed procedures and documentation standards during all maintenance activities
- Continuously seek to improve knowledge of plastics processing and mold technologies
- Utilize basic hand tools and demonstrate proficiency with machine shop equipment
- Make clear, concise entries in mold maintenance manuals and technical documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in mold maintenance or machining is a plus
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in injection mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
- Proven ability to work independently on a wide range of molds, including hot-runner systems
- Demonstrated proficiency with conventional and CNC machine tools, as well as precision measuring instruments
- Solid understanding of mold function, tooling stack-ups, and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Experience maintaining detailed documentation and preventative maintenance records
- Familiarity with safety protocols and standard operating procedures in a manufacturing or tool room environment
The starting pay rate for this role is 32.11 per hour. In addition to base pay, all GOJO team members are bonus eligible. for a comprehensive list of benefits we offer including 401(k) match, parental leave, and onsite well-being care.
