Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON)

Location: St. Ignace, MI

Salary: $95,000 Starting Salary(based on experience)
Bonus: Upto $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (2-year commitment)

Facility:
48-bed skilled nursing facility, Eden Alternative Certified, 5-Star Rated Facility. Provides long-term care, short-term rehab, hospice support, and skilled/basic nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all nursing services and ensure high-quality resident care
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nurse managers
• Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and staff performance
• Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations
• Lead quality improvement (QAPI), infection control, and safety programs
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
• Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections

Requirements:

• Active Michigan RN License (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred
• Prior DON or ADON experience (required)
• 3–5 years nursing experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Infection Preventionist Certification (within 6 months) preferred
• Matrix EMR experience preferred
• Strong RN Nurse Manager or ADON candidates may be considered
