General Laborer

Job Title: General Laborer – Concrete Production

Job Description

This role supports large-scale concrete production by setting up forms and rebar, pouring and finishing concrete, and moving materials throughout the production yard. You will work with a variety of tools, perform visual inspections before and after curing, and occasionally lead small teams or work areas to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Set up concrete forms and rebar for large concrete slabs according to specifications and measurements.
• Pour concrete into prepared forms safely and efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.
• Perform visual inspections of concrete products before and after the curing process to identify defects or issues.
• Use a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools to support daily production tasks.
• Load and unload concrete products and materials to and from different stations around the production yard.
• Handle heavy lifting of products weighing up to 70 pounds as needed throughout the shift.
• Measure and mark materials using a tape measure to ensure accurate cuts, placements, and setups.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping, removing debris, and performing general cleaning tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines while operating tools, handling materials, and working in outdoor conditions.
• Lead small groups or specific work areas as needed to coordinate tasks and support production goals.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of construction or concrete experience.
• Experience working with concrete in a production or construction environment.
• Proficiency using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and similar equipment.
• Proficiency using power tools for cutting, drilling, and fastening.
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately for layout and measurement.
• Comfort with heavy lifting up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work safely with pneumatic tools and equipment.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks in an outdoor production yard.
• Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of products before and after curing.
• Basic carpentry skills related to building and setting forms.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a construction, concrete, or general labor role.
• Experience in production environments involving concrete or similar materials.
• Experience assisting with or leading small teams or work areas.
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced yard environment.
• Reliability and punctuality for early morning start times and occasional overtime.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, first-shift position, typically Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with possible overtime on Saturdays during the same hours. All work takes place outdoors in a production yard, in all seasons and weather conditions, including rain or shine. Team members must dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared for physically demanding work, including heavy lifting and extended periods on their feet while using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Billings,MT.
