Special Education Teacher - Arvada, CO

An opening is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with an Affective Needs focus, offering a contract position at an elementary school in the North Denver area. Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold an active Colorado Teacher License with a Special Education Generalist Endorsement (ages 5-21)
• Previous experience addressing affective needs in elementary-aged children is highly desirable
• Strong ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual needs
• Capable of quickly completing district credentialing and paperwork requirements
• Commitment to a full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week, on-site

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral support to students with affective needs at the elementary level
• Develop and maintain comprehensive IEP documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure best practices and student success
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote emotional regulation, social skills, and academic achievement
• Participate actively in school team meetings, trainings, and workshops

This assignment is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and will extend through October 2nd, centered at one school location to fully support your assigned caseload.
