Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Madison, Nebraska

A travel night shift pharmacist opportunity is available in Norfolk, NE, at a 120-bed Level III trauma center. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic hospital pharmacy setting with excellent support and technology.

Job Type: Travel
Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
• Night shift, 8 PM to 7 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Perform kinetic dosing calculations and assessments
• Conduct medication checks prior to distribution
• Provide consultative support and answer medication-related questions from nursing staff
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities during night hours
• Manage outpatient prescription filling for Emergency Department patients overnight

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with EPIC system preferred; training available for the right candidate
• Ability to work independently during night shift with pharmacy technician support

Technology and Support:

• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Pharmacy technician available on shift to assist with workflow
