Special Education Teacher | Fountain, Colorado

Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity begins September 1 and runs through the end of the school year. You’ll be based near Fountain, CO, working primarily in resource settings shared between two high schools.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work with high school age students with diverse learning needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to high school students served in resource classrooms
• Coordinate and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned caseload
• Monitor and evaluate student progress; adapt strategies as needed to support learning goals
• Work collaboratively with general education staff, administration, and families
• Maintain student records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Split time effectively between two high schools, supporting various students
