RN Manager - Surgical Services | OR Supervisor Role | $100K-$150K

Position: RN Manager – Surgical Services (Operating Room)
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | Rotating Weekends

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity ideal for a charge nurse, OR supervisor, or experienced surgical RN ready to move into management.

Job Summary

The Surgical Services Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24-hour operational leadership of the Operating Room and Central Sterile Processing area, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative patient care.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, workflow, supply management, and performance improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily OR operations including scheduling and staffing
• Manage perioperative workflow and surgical case flow efficiency
• Supervise and support surgical services staff (approx. 15 team members)
• Monitor productivity, staffing levels, and resource utilization
• Ensure appropriate use of surgical supplies, equipment, and staffing resources
• Lead performance improvement and quality initiatives
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and patient safety standards
• Analyze and report surgical service metrics and operational data
• Support staff development, evaluations, and coaching
• Ensure smooth coordination of surgical procedures and OR readiness

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (Required)
• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room / Surgical Services experience (Required)
• Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred
• BSN preferred (MSN a plus)
