Position Overview
A leading healthcare organization in New York is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join its growing diagnostic imaging team. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative healthcare environment serving diverse patient populations across multiple specialties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations using high-field strength MRI equipment.
- Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to procedures.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Evaluate MRI scans for image quality and completeness.
- Assist radiologists during imaging procedures when required.
- Perform general radiologic procedures when assigned.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and workflow efficiency.
- Educate and train newly hired technologists.
- Provide compassionate care while addressing patients' physical and emotional needs.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or related field required.
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
- MRI Technologist experience required.
- ARRT Certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and imaging procedures.
- Ability to lift and position patients safely.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
