Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization in New York is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join its growing diagnostic imaging team. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative healthcare environment serving diverse patient populations across multiple specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations using high-field strength MRI equipment.
• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to procedures.
• Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Evaluate MRI scans for image quality and completeness.
• Assist radiologists during imaging procedures when required.
• Perform general radiologic procedures when assigned.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and workflow efficiency.
• Educate and train newly hired technologists.
• Provide compassionate care while addressing patients' physical and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or related field required.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
• MRI Technologist experience required.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and imaging procedures.
• Ability to lift and position patients safely.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
