Special Education Teacher in Colorado Springs, CO

This high school-focused position will have you working across two local high schools in a full-time capacity, supporting students as a Resource Teacher from September through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching certification
• Hold a current CDE license
• Proven experience or strong foundational knowledge working with high school students
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff and special services teams
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability to work across multiple school settings

What You'll Do:

• Serve as a Resource Teacher for high school students, delivering specialized instruction and support
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Split your schedule between two high school campuses, ensuring continuity of care and services
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers
• Maintain documentation and compliance for all assigned students
