Job Details

• Position: Special Education Teacher (SPED)
• School District: Bay Arenac ISD
• Location: Standish, MI
• Start Date: August 18, 2026
• End Date: June 2027
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
• School Assignment: 1 campus

Caseload & Responsibilities

• Location: Standish, MI
• Serving students in all grade levels
• Caseload of approximately 7 students
• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License required
• Must meet all Michigan state requirements for school-based employment
• Fingerprinting and all district onboarding requirements must be completed prior to the start date
