Collections Paralegal | HOA & Community Association Law
Our client, a well-established and highly respected law firm in the Denver metro area, is seeking an experienced Collections Paralegal to join its busy Community Association (HOA) practice. What You'll Do
Manage HOA collections matters from file opening through case resolution
Prepare pleadings, motions, correspondence, and legal documents
Handle Colorado court e-filings, calendaring, and case management
Communicate with clients, courts, management companies, and opposing parties
Review account ledgers, calculate payoff amounts, and process payments
Assist attorneys with discovery, hearings, trials, and bankruptcy matters
Maintain accurate electronic files and case records while managing multiple deadlines
What We're Looking For
3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in a law firm
Experience with debt collections, creditors' rights, or HOA/community association law preferred
Working knowledge of court e-filing and litigation procedures
Strong organizational, drafting, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; legal case management software is a plus
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a high-volume practice

• At least 2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, preferably within a law firm environment.• Background in collections, creditors’ rights, debt recovery, or community association legal matters is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with court filing procedures, litigation workflows, and case progression requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare legal documents with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple active matters at once.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using legal case management platforms.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced practice while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
